Haga Haga is a small, picturesque village that offers visitors and tourists a wide range of outdoor activities – good fishing, surfing, snorkeling, shell collecting, walking/hiking trails, tennis, golf and horse riding. It is a malaria-free area. For the less energetic there is an excellent library, a little Museum with displays, photos and information pertaining to the rich Xhosa culture, including local beadwork, the fauna, flora, shells, etc. Haga Haga has a rich selection of marine and land flora and fauna, the conservation of which is the main objective of the Conservancy, which was established in 1995. The Haga Haga Conservancy is a registered entity with its Constitution lodged with the Eastern Cape Nature Conservation and East London Conservancies Association . The Conservation lies between the Nyarha and Quko Rivers. Whales visit our shores from July to early December and give Locals and tourists many hours of pleasure. The dolphins are seen almost daily. There are several walks and trails: Krantz Flower Walk to Pullens Bay, Whale Point, Lagoon Lookout, Otter Creek Walk, & River Trail . There is a more adventurous walk for the bird lovers on Oppie Plaas, and a longer, more energetic, 10 km hike from the Main Beach to Double Mouth, where it is possible to pick up pieces of Ming China and carnelian beads washed up from a sunken ship .
